Substitute ground cinnamon for the apple pie spice.
If you don't have apple pie spice, you can easily make your own. Just combine 1 tsp. ground cinnamon with 1/4 tsp. each ground nutmeg and ground allspice, and a dash of ground cloves or ground ginger. Use instead of the 1-1/2 tsp. apple pie spice.
Since these cookies are made with fruits and nuts, they can be a delicious addition to your healthful eating plan.
