  • Heat oven to 325°F.
  • Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray. Dissolve coffee in water. Prepare brownie batter as directed on package, blending in coffee before pouring batter into prepared pan. Bake 18 to 20 min. or until top of brownie is shiny and center is almost set.
  • Meanwhile, beat cream cheese, sugar, cinnamon and extract in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add sour cream; mix well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing after each just until blended.
  • Spoon cream cheese mixture over partially baked brownie layer in pan. (Filling will come almost to top of pan.)
  • Bake 40 min. or until center is almost set. Cool. Refrigerate 4 hours.
  • Melt chocolate as directed on package; cool slightly. Use foil handles to lift cheesecake from pan; drizzle with chocolate. Let stand until chocolate is firm.

Soften Cream Cheese

Place completely unwrapped package of cream cheese in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 10 sec. or just until softened. Add 15 sec. for each additional package of cream cheese.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this recipe just to see how good it was. I made this recipe just to see how good it was. It was sooooo good! I brought some to my next door neighbor who had visitors over and they were fighting over it. One said that she wanted to buy the ingredients for me to make her a whole pan. Between myself, my husband and our three kids, it didn't last very long. I am a full time student and we are having a christmas party tomorrow, we have to bring a dish. Guess what I'm making. I know they will love it. Nothing I cut ever comes out looking like the pictures, the chocolate didn't come out in straight lines, they were itty bitty circles, but the taste is so great, no one cares what it looks like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These tasted even better then I expected! These tasted even better then I expected! Much easier to prepare then I originally thought. I did use the foil but I don't feel it made it easier or harder to cut and serve the brownies then if it had been in a regular glass dish. I even thought I might have overcooked the brownie bottom but I think setting for a long time under the cream cheese makes the brownie very moist. This dish does need a lot of time to set so I highly recommend preparing this dessert the night before and refrigerating over night. The chocolate drizzle really put this brownie over the top. I tried this one out for my family first but I will definitely be bringing this to my next party.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simply wonderful. Simply wonderful. As recommended by the other chefs, I didn't use the foil lined pan. Instead I used a greased, glass 13x9 dish which worked fine. It did take longer for the brownies to set; I'm not sure if the glass dish had anything to do with that...or maybe it's just my oven. I also didn't drizzle the chocolate on top. Instead I made little designs to put on top of the dessert before serving. I actually wrote my guests names with chocolate and made some swirls and heart shapes as well. The kids and adults loved it! This dessert is definitely "heavy", so a little piece is very filling. I will definitely make this again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wonderful flavors but a very fussy recipe! Wonderful flavors but a very fussy recipe! I made this for a party and it was almost a disaster. The layers didn't stick together well, it was VERY messy and time consuming to cut, and we ended up having to scrap most of it! (and I bake/cook A LOT so it wasn't me!) I had to use a knife dipped in hot water, clean each time, etc., etc. and had to peel tiny pieces of foil off because some of it stuck. It was such a pain!! HOWEVER, I salvaged and served some squares and everyone was raving and asking for the recipe. I told them they really didn't want to make this - way too much trouble!!

However, this recipe needs work. I made this for the first time for Thanksgiving and after it was to late to remake it, I sliced it and the brownie was stuck to the foil and not done. I will make this again because the taste is so fantastic, but I will cook the brownie longer and either use a high quality Wilton cake pan with no foil and release spray or Reynolds Release Foil and spray. Check the brownie for doneness, but they burn easily so be careful not to overcook.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a big hit at the office and at home! This was a big hit at the office and at home! However, make sure you leave enough time to cut the cheesecake carefully into the bars by rinsing your knife off in warm water between each slice. This way the knife won't drag across, creating an unsightly, albeit tasty, mess. Also, I would recommend cutting the bars first and THEN drizzling the chocolate sauce. That way it doesn't break before you present it. And pull the foil off the bottom before you cut it so you don't leave little foil pieces stuck to the bottom. It is definitely worth making!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I made this recipe last week. I made this recipe last week. I was going to bring it to work but it went into the garbage instead. The recipe didn't tell me to cool the brownies first... before pouring the cheese case mixture on top. The brownies were still warm and the mixture was heavy causing the brownies to slide under the pressure. I thought I salvaged them pretty good and cooked the cheese case anyway. But... the brownie underneath was like sticky half cooked fudge and couldn't be removed from the pan. I tried cutting the pieces, then freezing the entire pan, but that didn't work either. There was no rescueing them. What a waste of ingredients! I will probably make this again, but I will certainly cool the brownie first. Too bad that wasn't part of the recipe.

I read many of previous ratings and comments and just had to make this for my own experience (not mention the fact that two of my favorite desserts are combined into one). It was a hit! I followed the recipe directions but should have baked the brownies for about only half of the time that the brownie box called for. I baked it for approx. 18 minutes...nevertheless, it was a hit at work. I ended up giving it to my co-worker for his birthday cake. He shared it among many of us and they all were very pleased! It will be made again!
