Prepare to wow the crowd when you make this Easy Ice Cream Cake with Hot Fudge. Combine chocolate and strawberry ice cream in this delicious dessert.

24 OREO Cookies, divided
2 cups strawberry ice cream, softened
2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, divided
2 cups chocolate ice cream, softened
2 Tbsp. hot fudge ice cream topping

Line 9-inch round pan with plastic wrap, with ends extending over side of pan. Stand 14 cookies around edge of pan. Crush remaining cookies. Reserve 1/2 cup crumbs for later use; sprinkle remaining crumbs onto bottom of pan. Spread strawberry ice cream over crumbs; top with 1 cup COOL WHIP and reserved crumbs. Cover with chocolate ice cream.
Freeze 4 hours.
Remove dessert from freezer 10 min. before serving. Use plastic wrap handles to lift dessert from pan. Carefully peel off plastic wrap; place dessert on serving plate. Let stand at room temperature to soften slightly. Top with remaining COOL WHIP; drizzle with fudge topping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by crystal1379 from I made this to take to my child's school for his birthday. I made this to take to my child's school for his birthday. I modified by making "cupcakes". I placed cupcake liners in a muffin pan. Next, placed an Oreo cookie in bottom of each muffin cup. then followed recipe by scooping a layer of ice cream, whipped topping, Oreo crumbs, ice cream, and finally whipped topping again. Drizzled each cupcake with hot fudge before taking to school. The hardest part was keeping it frozen while transporting. Kids and teachers all loved it.

I used the pints of ben & jerry's ice cream - peanut butter cup & chocolate and mint chocolate cookie & vanilla. Needed some help pulling the saran wrap off the bottom of the cake though. Melted the hot fudge in the microwave, poured it into a zip lock bag, snipped the corner & drizzled the hot fudge over the top. It was a big hit at the party!

I used a few more than the recipe called for for extra crunch. My son also added a ton of sprinkles. I also used carmel topping instead of fudge. I couldn't really taste the topping though, so I'd leave it off next time...save a few calories too. Very good cake though, everyone loved it. My boyfriend said it gave Carvel cakes some competition.

I made two small changes: I used a 10" spring form pan (larger than this recipe calls for) so it required a little more of all the ingredients (I just kind of eye-balled it). I also skipped the hot fudge on top in favor of miniature chocolate chips instead. Everyone loved it, and I will probably make it again for a family birthday later this month.

I used cookies 'n cream ice cream and triple chocolate ice cream, along with a crust of chopped oreos, melted chocolate, and peanut butter. It was fabulous! The first layer of ice cream did melt a little, so definitely freeze the first layer for about 15 minutes before adding the whipped topping and crumbs again. Thank you, Kraft!

I don't usually review recipes, but this one was so outstanding....made it for a birthday cake and everyone went nuts over it! Made it in a 10 inch springform pan and added a layer of chopped pecans in the middle. It was a little too chocolatey for me, with the cookies and syrup on top. Maybe next time, I'll use vanilla instead of chocolate ice cream.

I used Dove icecream because it happened to be on sale, chocolate and vanilla, and I have to say using a "better" icecream just added to how wonderful it was. I will never buy a Carvel icecream cake again. This one is an absolute keeper.

I have been asked for the recipe & to make it for other occassions. It's great to use different ice creams and toppings. It is very versital. My favorite ices to use are mint chocolate chip & vanilla. I can't wait to make it with the other flavors of Oreos.
