Rated 5 out of 5 by from This salad took you to Italy while you were eating. This salad took you to Italy while you were eating. It was a good introduction for my niece, Nikki, who does not care to eat potato salad but she did like this one very much as did all of us at the meal. I am glad I read other comments before fixing this as I made a few changes. I boiled potatoes early in the morning, mixed the Miracle Whip with dry sweet basil (not fresh) cut back to a few good sprinkles, used a little more then 1/4 cup of the Zesty, heated the Grey Poupon to absorb the bacon bits to kick them up a notch. This salad will go to our first staff luncheon at school this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was delicious. This was delicious. The potatoes are sweet and tender, and the salad is not too dressed up. The smell of the basil was a bit overwhelming when I was making it, but the basil taste was not too much. If your family prefers potato salad the old way with tons of dressing, you may want to double the dressing part in this recipe because the salad is lightly dressed so that you can taste the potatoes, bacon, and tomatoes rather than just the dressing. It was really good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used green onions instead. I used green onions instead. I left out the basil and tomatoes. I used fat free mayo. This was terrific. I am hooked on it. I will make it over and over and over. It is very good for my low fat diet. The flavor was really awesome. I only made 1/2 recipe but I ate it myself in 2 days. And I didn't have one bit of guilt about it. I don't know how I lived without it this long. Also very fast to put together. Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good! Very good! I use to make potato salad with real mayonaise, eggs, etc., but my husband only gets it once a year now because of the fat and cholesteral in it. This recipe is a terrific way to cut out all the fat! My husband loves it and can have it when ever he wants, and our guests wanted the recipe. I have made this several times, it's a great and very easy to make!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful blend of ingredients, and colorful presentation! Wonderful blend of ingredients, and colorful presentation! I used reduced fat mayo instead. I added crisp tender cut green beans and substituted green onions, as red onion is a little too strong at times. Went over very well at church luncheon. I sent this recipe to several people and I will make this whenever potato salad is called for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made the New Potatoe Summer Salad yesterday for my neighbor's cookout. I made the New Potatoe Summer Salad yesterday for my neighbor's cookout. It was the talk of the party. They all commented on how it tasted so different with the basil, dyjon and bacon--it tasted so good warm. It was so easy to prepare and serve. Of course I had to give everyone the recipe. Keep the recipes coming--I love them-Gloria

Thanks for this great recipe!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HOW did Kraft get MY Recipe ? HOW did Kraft get MY Recipe ???!!! Seriously, I've been making Potato Salad this way for YEARS - the mixing of the Miracle Whip and the Italian Dressing is genius, isn't it??? Also, I substitiute FAT-FREE ingredients, and wind up with an almost completely Fat Free salad, and no one has ever been able to tell the difference.
