  • Beat pudding mix and milk in large bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in 1-1/2 cups COOL WHIP and chopped cookies. Spoon into crust.
  • Cover with remaining COOL WHIP; drizzle with melted chocolate.
  • Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.

Variation

Prepare with 1 pkg. (1 oz.) JELL-O Pistachio Flavor Sugar Free Fat Free Instant Pudding, fat-free milk and COOL WHIP LITE Whipped Topping.

Special Extra

For stronger mint flavor, add 1/4 tsp. peppermint extract to pudding mix along with the milk.

How to Drizzle Chocolate

Dip fork into melted chocolate, then let chocolate drip off fork tines as you move fork back and forth across top of pie.

Substitute

The chocolate and mint team up to make a terrific flavor combination, but if you prefer, prepare using regular OREO Cookies.

Frozen Chocolate-Mint Grasshopper Pie

Prepare as directed except freeze pie until frozen instead of refrigerating until firm. Remove pie from freezer about 10 min. before serving to soften slightly.

This was really yummy, I made it a couple of weeks ago for a family dinner at my daughters and am going to make it again this afternoon to take to my Son-In-Law for his "Birthday Pie" at his request. It was so easy to make and tasted great. I have let you in on a little secret, my daughter owns a Cake Shop and so I am always looking for desserts that are a little different. This one gets my vote.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, this pie looks great! So far, this pie looks great! Its in the freezer now. I didnt have any crust on hand, so I made a graham cracker crust. I also didnt have oreos, so i dipped graham crackers in melted Andes baking chips. I crushed those and added the rest of the baking chips to the pie. I topped it with some left over baking chips and it looks perfect!

I've never given a 5 star rating since using Kraft recipes for a year now (I've reserved it for only the absolute best), but this one gets it! It was a 1 out of 5 on a "difficulty scale", ended up looking store-bought and tasted even better! I did add the 1/4 of mint extract with the low-fat options suggested; followed the recipe to a tee. I don't like pistachios at all, but it was perfect for this! Not as heavy as other flavors and it just tasted...right. I also used skim milk and it didn't turn out runny like someone else suggested it did. No changes needed for the next time I make this, which I will be doing over and over... My family LOVED it! The only downside was I only made one. I'll definitely make two next time! Not only did I unexpectedly have more than 8 people to cook for, but it's so light (though very satisfying) that you can stomach more than one slice without over-doing it, so we all wanted another slice. PERFECT recipe! Was better frozen and sligh

I Sifted out the pistacchio nuts before mixing in the cool whip and cookies. Also made my own oreo pie crust....always better than the pre-made. Added a few drops of peppermint oil into the melted chocolate for a hint more peppermint flavor.

Would definately recommend freezing this instead of refrigerating...just thaw it out a little bit before serving. I also crushed up some of the mint oreos and sprinkled on top...yummy!

I used the fat free sugar free pistachio pudding, 1% milk, lite whipped topping, and 9 mint Double Stuff Oreos. The store only had a chocolate pie crust not the Oreo crust. The drizzled chocolate makes it look professional. Delicious!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My In-laws LOVED this dessert! My In-laws LOVED this dessert!! I had to make some changes, as I am not a fan of pistachio, used vanilla pudding with mint extract and Girl Scout Thin Mints instead of Oreos, but it was still AMAZING!! I will definatly make this again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I would add more oreos next time! I would add more oreos next time! I was also a little irritated making it because I live in a huge city and cannot find oreo pie shells if my life depended on it. One supermarket told me they only get them in around the holidays...
